Birthportal’s third digital release comes courtesy of Austin-based producer & DJ, Mosey. With a string of solid releases on the likes of Future Times and his own Later In Life label, he now finds a home in our catalogue among our favorite artists. His "Extractor" EP features a blend of analog synths and MPC sequencing that exudes raw, retro vibes with an empirically functional tonality.

The release opens with the title track, a funky and jumpy groove that meanders around a swung, jacked 707 sequence. Next, "Mollusk" takes us to a deeper underwater world, where huge overdriven bass takes control into a hypnotic trance. "Anybody Home?" features pleasant mesmeric swells and a beautiful nostalgic soundscape set to a signature house beat. As indicated in the name, "Strut Zone" is where Mosey’s dance floor flex comes into play with a massive upbeat track featuring an ethereal, exquisite break down that is sure to cause ecstatic moments at the party. Last but certainly not least, "Konzert Café" is yet another magical setting in the deep world of Mosey. The beautiful synth work features elegant stabs and pads along the backdrop of a swinging effortless groove.
